This puts the public door on a page: an assistant for anonymous visitors, answering on the data you marked public. For logged-in customers, follow the per-user door next.

Before you start

In the Concatflow dashboard, open your assistant and check three things:
  • In the Doors tab, the public door is on and its scope lists at least one table.
  • In the Doors tab, Allowed origins lists the origin of your page, for example https://www.example.com. Add your local origin too, such as http://localhost:3000.
  • The assistant is published.
An origin is a scheme, a host and a port. No path. https://example.com and https://www.example.com are two different origins.

1. Copy your site token

Your site token starts with st_. You find it in the snippet of the assistant’s public door. See Where to find your identifiers. The site token is public. It is meant to sit in your page’s HTML, like a Stripe publishable key.

2. Paste two tags

Paste this where you want the search bar to appear. Replace the token.
index.html
The bar renders where the element is written. It takes the width of its container. Prefer a chat bubble in the corner? Remove launcher="bar":

3. Ask a question

Open your page. Click the bar, or press ⌘ K (Ctrl K on Windows and Linux) to focus it. Type a question and press Enter. The answer unfolds under the bar. Press Esc to fold it back.
That’s it. Every question is charged to your workspace credits. Your visitors never pay or sign in.

Troubleshooting

Your page’s origin is probably not in Allowed origins. Compare it character by character with location.origin in your browser console: scheme, host and port must match.
Open the browser console.
  • <concatflow-assistant> : attribut site-token manquant means the site-token attribute is missing or empty.
  • A blocked script or frame means your Content Security Policy needs the Concatflow origin. See Content Security Policy.
A monthly cap or your credit balance was reached. The assistant degrades to a short message instead of disappearing. Check the assistant’s Limits tab and your credits.
